Frequently Asked Questions
What is Systems-Based TrainingSBT (Systems-Based Training) is the result of nearly two decades of documenting my personal journey through professional chaos and turning it into a clear framework that helps coaches organize their processes, design better training, and measure their real impact.
Who is SBT for?SBT is for performance professionals—strength and conditioning coaches, sport coaches, PE teachers, and private-sector coaches—who are tired of winging it or feeling stuck and want a more organized, sustainable way to coach and build their careers.
What services do you currently offer?Right now, I primarily offer speaking engagements: keynotes, in-services, and workshop-style talks for schools, teams, clinics, and conferences. I’ll be adding consultation and implementation support in the near future.
What topics do you speak on?My talks focus on systems-based training and organization: building training systems, structuring onboarding and assessment, designing programs that fit your actual environment, gamifying effort and buy-in, and navigating career fit and job satisfaction as a performance professional.
How is SBT different from a typical training program?SBT is not another “plug-and-play” program; it’s a framework. Instead of telling you exactly what to do with sets and reps, I show you how to build your own systems—so your programs eventually write themselves and fit your people, your space, and your constraints.
Can I use SBT if I’m not in a college or pro setting?Yes. Much of SBT was built in high school and youth environments, and it’s designed to scale up or down. The same principles work in schools, private facilities, and team settings.

Instead of chasing buy-in with hype, SBT helps you structure clear expectations, meaningful metrics, and simple gamified systems so athletes and staff see where they stand, what matters, and how their effort actually moves the needle.
-
Yes. SBT was built because I wasn’t naturally organized. The whole point is to give you simple structures—checklists, templates, and mental models—that make organization easier and more repeatable.

Working with me is structured, honest, and collaborative. I bring clear systems, direct communication, and practical tools to the table, but I also listen hard, meet you where you are, and adapt the process to your actual environment instead of forcing you into a one‑size‑fits‑all model.
